Speed:
Speed is jaw-dropping. We tried first one of our 100mbit uk line, and we maxed it at… 100mbit. We automatically went”challenge mode-on!” and we decided to keep playing with it! We got a 1gbit server, we repeat speedest, and it maxed at… 1Gbps! After collecting our jaws(and egos) from the floor, we went all-out and got a 10gbit(!) server. Finally, we were able to get”limited” at 2.966 Gbit! Yes you read it correct, nearly 3Gbps!
Price:
AstrillVPN insane speeds comes at a hefty cost though: Out of all the VPNs we have reviewed, it tops everyone else on price as well! 8.33$/month when buying the 1 year plan. You could also keep adding extras as VIP service or a Private IP(your own IP for as long as you have your subscription!) and you looking at 10$ and 5$ extra per month repeatedly!
Customer Support:
AstrillVPN offers 24/7 support via live chat and email. They also have a very impressive database for any possible error/question you may encounter!
Torrenting :
PrivateVPN is a great choice for torrenting. Super fast speeds combined with near zero latency and the kill-switch implementation on top, makes it a no-brainer for hardcore torrenters all over the globe!
Number of Servers:
116+ servers in 64+ locations. The only logical explanation we can give for the low number of servers and the superb speeds, is the fact that its considered a “VIP” VPN by most people, mainly because of its price. So while the number of servers doesnt sound impressive, they do provide you with MAXIMUM speed at all times!
Mobile Compatibility:
AstrillVPN supports both iOS and Android devices
Number of Devices:
5 simultaneous connections on multiple devices are allowed, all of them with different IP as well.
Logging Policy:
AstrillVPN has a strict no-logs policy. From their website:
“Our system keeps track of active sessions – connection time, IP address, device type and Astrill VPN application version during the duration of your VPN session. Once you disconnect from VPN this information is removed permanently from our system. This information is solely used to limit the number of devices connecting from single account simultaneously. You can check all active sessions from member zone and you can erase them at any time.”
On top of that, you can also pay with BitCoin as an option, in case you want to increase your anonymity.
Ease of Use:
AstrillVPNs‘ desktop VPN apps are simple to use, look beautiful and simple, yet professional. We would love a browser extension in the near future though(would be perfect for less experienced users)
Unblocking Stream Services:
AstrillVPN successfully unblocks all streaming services we tested(Netflix Hulu, and iBBC player). On top of that, it also bypasses The Great Wall of China, UAE and even Iran!
Refund Policy:
None. AstrillVPN has a strict no refunds policy(they do offer a 7 days free trial though, as long as you are not from China)
In a glance:
– No Logs, No Leaks, Kill Switch
– 24/7 Chat Support, via live chat/email
– User friendly GUI & Easy Installation, Browser Extensions(chrome/firefox)
-116+ servers to choose from
-Unblocks Netflix,Hulu and iBBC Player, China Firewall, UAE, Iran
– VERY expensive compared to competition(targets VIP clients/China)
-STRICT no refund policy(7 days trial option though)
—> OVERALL: AstrillVPN is not for everyone. If you consider yourself a VIP, and you dont mind paying up to 4 times what you could pay on another provider to practically MAX your internet connection all the times, then this VPN is for you.
